Superlative experience

An absolutely amazing experience at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary! From the moment I landed at the airport I was in amazing hands with my guide Pema and Chencho and our driver Ugyen. The welcome at the sanctuary was absolutely lovely and set the tone for a fantastic weeklong stay. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet with a Bhutanese doctor for an assessment, a great way to get grounded in wellness for the week and self-care. The spa services were excellent. Please take advantage!

The food was an outstanding and delightful surprise. Each night was an absolute gastronomic feast six courses perfectly executed and served by the most thoughtful, prideful team. I can’t say enough good things about how good the food was and how accommodating they were-if you wanted to skip courses or have something extra.

The staff makes your visit so incredibly special, just really thoughtful touches and extra care given to all guests. The rooms are amazing and they’re absolutely luxury level. The entire team led by the GM Soh really do make you feel as if you’re part of the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary family!

Our stay at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary

The property is both beautiful and authentic. We received such a warm welcome upon arrival and immediately felt at home, as if we were part of a family. The food was amazing: always fresh, healthy, and full of flavor.

A special thanks to Miss Soh for making our stay so memorable with the best guest experience we could imagine. We loved the Bhutanese dinner in traditional clothes and the cooking workshop. The wellness treatments were another highlight, especially the hot stone bath (highly recommended after visiting the Tiger’s Nest!), as well as the massages and meditations.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a stunning view of the monastery.

We also want to thank our wonderful guide, Pema, for taking us to incredible sights each day, from a Bhutanese festival to Tiger’s Nest, beautiful hikes, and cultural activities.

We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary. The staff are all so warm and humble. Thank you to each of you for making our time here unforgettable!

Fabulous! This was by far the best hotel experience we had in beautiful Bhutan – food was fabulous catering for tricky dietary requirements without blinking! All the staff were so friendly and caring – one of us had a cold and the wonderful manager took it upon herself to cure us with traditional effective remedies. The spa, swimming pool, archery and pottery were all managed with care and smiles. The only draw back is the road from the main road – treat it as a daily adventure! There are also small special temples nearby that are a little off the beaten track to explore. A real gem!
